And this is what it’s all about!!!

Love, love, love this!!
-marley
Let’s see things that have happened:
We have been all over the country…
We have been back home….
Melody bought a new car….
Marley bought a new keyboard…
Melody has a man interest…
Marley still doesn’t care for one….
Melody started getting really good at playing the guitar…
Marley started getting really good at playing the piano…
We have both written songs… Melody’s from all different angles and Marley’s from a lot of depressing and spiritual angles…
We have both turned 30… Melody’s in Nashville and Marley’s in Orlando!
We have met a lot of great new people…
I’m sue there is a ton of other stuff but right now I can’t seem to remember!
We thought we would share one funny and kind of hilarious thing that happened to us while in Nashville. So we had a free night and we decided that we would meet our friend Devo at a club. So Melody insists on using her GPS to locate it even thought Marley knew it was downtown. So Marley was driving and she went along with Melody’s GPS. We seemed to get further and further away from downtown and ended up on a road where the Bible college is. Ok Marley kept saying this is not where it is but Melody said her GPS is never wrong. So we continue down this road and all of a sudden it says that we have passed the road. Ok first of all there was no road and the only road that Marley saw was a tiny dark road that had a creek running through it.. So at this point Marley is saying there is no way in heck I’m going down that road. So we took the next available road and then turned down a subdivision as the GPS says to do. First of all we are in a very well off neighborhood near a bible college (so keep that in mind). We continue down this road until we get to the location where the GPS states that this club is. Ok Marley is thinking there is no freaking way that this club is in the middle of a very wealthy neighborhood but Melody insists on going forward to see if there is a drive way. So we did and sure enough there is the streaming creek! So at this point there is nowhere to turn around and we are kind of contemplating what to do and all of a sudden a train starts coming!!! Holy crap we start freaking out… Marley puts the car in reverse and Melody is laughing at her. We turn around in what we call Natalie Grants driveway and start laughing hysterically at how stupid Melody’s GPS is. So to sum it up we went through the bible college to a wealthy neighborhood only to end up in a creek with train coming at us and the pulled around at Natalie Grants house!!! Fun Times for sure!!! I’m guessing now you are wondering if we ever made it to the club. Yes we did with Marley’s GPS of Course and it was downtown!
That’s what you get with the two of us fun, exciting and down right hilarious adventures!!!

As I start to write this blog I realize that this is the first thing that I have written in the past two months. Yes me the girl who use to write a blog every couple of days and write a least part of a song everyday. This past year has been heartbreaking for me. With out a doubt I can say that there was way more lows then highs but in the end I will get through it. It seemed like one thing happened after another and at the peak of it all my emotions seemed to drain away. I don’t want to write anymore and even if I try it does not seem to want to come out. But this last month has been the hardest of all. When my dad died I saw myself running towards that darkness that I fought so hard to get out of just a couple of months prior. And to be honest I’m not sure if I’m out of it still or when I will ever be. But I know that God will get me through it just has he has in the past. But it has made me start to take a good look at my life and what I want out of it. Am I doing what I suppose too? Am I surrounding myself with the right people? Am I bringing my self down with decisions I make? Am I being all that I can be? All these questions come in my head but don’t seem to get answered.
So I decided that I would write down what I want to accomplish before I die. We all know the saying “we are never promised tomorrow” and that is pretty clear to me now. So I made a bucket list of sorts:
I’m sure that there is a ton of other things but at this moment that’s all I got. I think it’s pretty good for my first draft!
So tell me some things that you would want to do before you die. I know it sounds weird but really its good thing!
Later (I hope) – Marley
I am so totally stoked for the 2hr season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy tonight!! So who’s with me on this? I know I’m a huge dork right now but I love this show and I can’t wait for tonight.
So I seemingly found the quiz to see which Grey’s Anatomy character are you?
So, I took the Grey’s Anatomy Personality Quiz and it turns out I’m most like Cristina.
Very few people have, or can understand, the sheer determination and drive that propels you, but you’re just as fiercely protective of your friends as you are of your own hopes and dreams. If they’re smart, your friends already know that. They also know that you’re more vulnerable than you seem and are only glad to offer a shoulder to cry on.
Take the quiz and see what your personality says about you:

Peace Out!—Marley
P.S.: We got our tickets for the Reba/Kelly concert today and let me just say that we so should have tried to purchase them yesterday and become a Kelly Clarkson fan club member. I’m just saying that it is crazy how many fans that girl must have because we purchased the tickets at 10:00 am on the dot and half of the tickets were already sold….. But oh well we are still going to have fun rockin out on the floor in the back!!! It sucks because I never have to pay for tickets (I’m always backstage) except some how I always seem to for Reba/Kelly!! But the concert is soooooooooo worth every penny…. Duh it’s REBA!!!!! Oh and Kelly too!
You Seriously have to go and see this website www.yearbookyourself.com.
Here is me in 1952…. I think I’m going to go with this look next time!!!!
Check it out for yourself and post your amazingly cool photo. I want to see everyone post a pic this time!!! Ok I just want to laugh…. he he he…

P.S. Thanks Ashley Arrison for the cool website!

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will.. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it’s harder every time. You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You’ll fight with your best friend You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did. You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back. Don’t be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.
Live simply. Love generously.
Care deeply. Speak kindly .
Leave the rest to God!

One of my friends suggested that I watch Monk. He said that I am pretty much a smaller version of the character on TV. Ok I do have some OCD’s but I am really trying to work on them. The funny thing is that I’m pretty sure I was never like this when I was younger…. But then again I practiced 10 hours a day, went to school, and worked! So I probably had no time to think about how OCD I really was. I decided that I would look around online to see what this Monk character is all about. And WOW I am not that bad. Well at least I think I’m not!…. I found this quiz that lets you know how Monkish you really are.
http://www.usanetwork.com/series/monk/monkish/
Needless to say we are like twins!
Here is what it said about me:
Marley you are Totally Monk-ish
No wonder you’re a Monk Fan- you’re practically twins! Just like this brave and brilliant detective, the thought of human contact is enough to make you break out in hives, which you will then obsess about endlessly. Brace yourself for a life like Monk’s. Stock up on latex gloves, hand sanitizer and air purifiers, although you probably already have a hefty supply…..
I seriously thought that I was not Monkish but then again I think that my OCD’s aren’t that bad!!!
But they never asked questions that I felt made me Monkish.
So I’m going to lay it all out on the line today and tell you how OCD I really am!!!!
But hopefully you will still love me!
I’m pretty sure that I have already told you way too much. So I’m going to stop there!
Make sure you take the quiz and let me know what it says about you?
http://www.usanetwork.com/series/monk/monkish/
Also if you have any bad OCD’s let me know so that I don’t feel alone in all of this!
You definitely know who this is……

I bet you thought this blog would be from Melody but you are wrong it’s all about Marley!!!! I know I seem to be the one blogging way more then Melody but honestly I’m the one that talks more on a normal basis anyways. So it just seems more reasonable that I would blog more.
Well this blog is all about my fun time in O-town! That is Orlando in case you did not know. We went to a concert at the Backbooth which is this kind of small punkish bar in Orlando. The acts weren’t really punk like music but the place sure reminded me of that kind of music venue. Anyways we went to see Ashley Arrison (www.myspace.com/ashleyarrisonmusic ) . My Cali girls told me about her 3 years ago and ever since I have wanted to see what the fuss was all about. And if I’m being honest they definitely picked a winner with her. She has this amazing voice that just seems to take you to a different place and makes you forget even where you are at. You seem to just be connected with her and her music. Which for me is not that hard in the first place. I seem to be connected to a lot of music! She did an amazing rendition of Jolene by Dolly Parton and need I say that it might have been better then the original version. Ok not better then Dolly but just different in a really good way! Then she sang a whole bunch of new songs that I really seemed to dig. But my favorite came when the guitarist messed up and they had to start over because it was at the wrong pitch. What came next was the best song I have heard in a long time. I have no idea what the name was but I fell in love with on the spot. I think it is called Somewhere With You but I’m not really sure. I really like that song too in case it was not that one! Somewhere With You is written by Shane Mack and it is one of his new singles (I think). Anyways her show was definitely worth the drive. I’m really glad my friends told me about her 3 years ago because when she blows up I can say that I thought she was awesome before anyone knew who she was. So thanks Ash and Kel!
She has a video up on her wordpess blog of her performing live. So check it out… (http://ashleyarrison.wordpress.com/)
Here are some pictures of her Ashley Arrison performing.
With the luck of the draw the next band to perform after Ashley was Mighty Joe Plum. Let me say that I LOVE THIS BAND!…… I have never heard of them before that night but I am most defiantly a fan of their music now! They kind of remind me of Dave Mathews Band with a 90’s rock sound. I really have no idea what to say but I was totally into the music. We were jumping and shouting and singing songs we didn’t even know the words too. Ok for me that could have been because I had 4 shots of Jack Daniels at that point but I don’t think that is the only reason. So if you live in Florida you need to check out one of their shows. If you don’t live in Florida (which is most of my Friends) check out their MySpace (www.myspace.com/mightyjoeplum ). I just want to say eat that Ash I finally found a band that you have never heard of and they are awesome! I know I use to always beat you in that department but you have been killing me lately.
Here are some pictures of Mighty Joe Plum performing.
After them came Joey Degraw (he is Gavin Degraw’s brother). He was a little late but he put on a good show. I’m going to be nice but I would have preferred not to have met him in person. I’m just going to leave it at that! But who knows maybe he was just having a bad day! Again just trying to be nice!
You can check out his music here: ( www.myspace.com/joeydegraw )
Here are some pictures of Joey Degraw performing.
Next up was the big act of the night Blue Meridian. To be honest they were to dull for me. Maybe I just had too many beverages at that point in the night but I was not a fan of their music. I know that they were supposed to be the highlight of the show but honestly they were the low light for me! I could only listen to two songs and then I had to go outside. Again they kind of thought more highly of themselves then they should have. It’s funny how the artist’s that think they are big really show that type of personality but the ones that are really big never seem to think they are that big at all. Funny how that happens! Well you can check them out for yourself and make your own decision. (www.myspace.com/bluemeridian)
Here is a couple of picture of them performing:
Well thanks for Lori, Matt, and Lindsay for going with me. Here are some pictures of us having a good time at the concert.

I think we may have partaken in a few too many beverages at that point!
Cheers to the Shots!
Matt had to take a picture of himself! What up Matt!
The bartender stole the camera!
Yay that was shot number 2 out of 4 for me….. Ouch! Jack Daniels was not my friend the next day!
Peace out from the concert!
–Marley…
Here is the gallery of photos from the concert. Enjoy at your own risk!
Melody here…i know..suprise, suprise.
I wanted to share with you my love for poetry. I have recently been more comfortable with sharing my poetry since it is for me like my diary, it’s very intimidating to let people in on my personal thoughts. But, it’s inspriring to others and if just one person can relate it is worth it. It is a gift to be able to write and no matter what your style I think you should be open to sharing your gift. I am posting a poem and would like for anyone else to do the same as a comment. Share your thoughts and feelings. We have many talented friends who can touch people’s lives with your words. Wether it be dark or bright everyone interprets it in their own way and that’s the beauty of poetry. So post your poem too! Love you all.
Melody
“A Talk With My God”
Shine down
Your sound
I fall
My face
Your grace,
Abounds.
Free Life
My crown -
I carry
Your light.
I’ve found
Can’t hide
The crowd
Your Word,
My mouth
Sweet flow.
Annointed,
I grow.
